Dart Adams presents 25 Producers On MySpace That You Need To Hear Right Now (2008 Edition) Part Three

Once again, it's on!:

Tiye Phoenix (Polyrhythm Addicts)
Reps: Baltimore, MD

We first became acquainted with Tiye Phoeniz as an up and coming female emcee in the underground scene during the late 90’s. Eventually, she was signed to Rawkus and added to their already impressive lineup. Unfortunately for Ms. Phoenix, Rawkus made mistake after mistake and apart from a few guest appearances on other Rawkus projects between 2000 and 2002 she was seldom heard. Once Rawkus went belly up, Tiye was free to pursue her career again.

In the meantime, Tiye Phoenix was honing her beat making abilities and getting quite nice at it. She often won beat making showcases and wowed crowds and showcases for years. In 2007, she replaced Apani B. in the Hip Hop supergroup Polyrhythm Addicts and reminded heads that she rhymes as well. I’d gotten so used to seeing her merk competition in beat battles that I almost forgot. Be on the lookout for her upcoming "W.O.W (Woman Of Wonder)" mix CD. Now go check her joints out and stop sleepin’ on her skills:

Mark De Clive-Lowe (The Politik/Antipodean Records)
Reps: Auckland, NZ

Beatheads are already aware of Mark, they’ve heard his previous releases like “Six Degrees”, “Tide’s Arising” or his work on “Freesoul Sessions Vol. 1”. Some cats heard the Platinum Pied Pipers LP and check the liner notes after hearing the ridiculous “50 Ways To Leave Your Lover” just to discover his name in the credits. Some casual fans even stumbled across last summers’ LP “The Politik” and discovered that he was on the keys, arranging and behind the boards during that project as well. He also runs his own label called Antipodean Records.

Mark De Clive-Lowe has crafted gems for Waajed, Blu, Bahamadia and a host of other talented artists the world over and is recognized as one the nicest producers on the planet right now. If ya don’t know, now ya know:

He’s worked with some of the biggest names in the world of Hip Hop and R&B and as half of the production team Track Dealers LLC (His partner Antagon1st made the 2007 list) he’s prepped to take the game over. Just one listen to the new J Armz hosted mixtape “The Resume: Volume One” and you’ll be convinced as well:

R.A.V.A.G.E (Day By Day Entertainment)

As a member of MF Grimm’s Day By Day Entertainment team he is a producer (Rodan’s “Theopany: The Book Of Elevations”), art director and emcee (several guest spots on Grimm’s 3 disc LP “American Hunger” and other Day By Day projects as MeccaGodZilla).

His first foray into remixing or doing mashups was 2005’s Backwoods Studios release “Soundclash #1: MeccaGodZilla vs. 007” where he mixed Godzilla movie sound effects with music from James Bond soundtracks and films and underground emcees Billy Woods, Vordul Mega and other Reavers affiliates made guest appearances.

While he’s been putting up his tracks on his MySpace for a while, he recently began making noise with his new “American Monsta” remix album of Jay-Z’s “American Gangster”. Visit his MySpace to hear previews and visit his site to download “American Monsta” for free:
