Dart Adams presents What Will Hollywood Ruin Next?

I did the original "The Future Is Now" post in late July after Comic Con 2008 and I purposely excluded a great deal of upcoming projects that were written about non stop at that particular time. Next time around, I included all of the comic book/graphic novel adaptations or the cartoon and video game flicks that had been recently greenlit or were already in current development (or development limbo) that most heads weren't even up on (cuz that's what I do) again in January 2009.

I then updated it again in March 2009 right before "Watchmen" came out. Damn, I was really amped for that flick to drop! Even while I've posted some release dates given the state of the money situation with studios between 25-33% of these dates are subject to change (2011 films...I'm looking at you!). I then created another pre-Comic Con 2009 version and posted it on this blog in mid June. Since then I've added about 12 new comic book. graphic novel & video game properties that were recently greenlit.

Here is yet another revised blog featuring several projects that have since been suspended or pushed back due to different issues involving securing writers, rights, big name talent to attach to said project or just wonky economics while also originally showcasing 90 upcoming projects from 2009-2013 (while removing a few films that just hit theaters recently).

I have since added even more recently greenlit projects, updated some more release dates and even added some status changes to more films that are no longer in developmental limbo, finally found a script, directors, began casting and/or filming. Enjoy (or scream out in anguish..Lord knows I did from time to time) as well as removing a gang of films that have since hit theaters (and sucked). Enjoy (or not):

Wow. I just read Poisonous Paragraphs will soon be no more.

PP is one of the most well written blogs out here and was key in me understanding what a blog is supposed to be. When it disappears there will be a huge hole in the bloggersphere.

I'll hate to see it go.

Where does it say PP is over with?

I lurk on this blog a lot, and I've left occasional comments, but I've been surprised at the lack of comments overall.

I picture this blog written by a fellow hip hop head who loves to spark a blunt and watch a shit ton of movies. Whether the blunt part is true or not, this is the best place to read about upcoming movies of interest to hip hop heads of a certain age who still remember that 80s shit.

I love it all, except for the photos used for the album rating system. It's hard to tell whether or not I've already read a post sometimes, and the photos just bog the posts down. But that's a minor complaint.

If it is true that PP is done for, that's a sad day. Good luck with your other projects, Dart.
