Dart Adams presents The Fallout Shelter: The 10 Most Anticipated Films From Comic-Con 2008

Here is a look at the 10 most anticipated films coming soon to a theater (or computer) near you after the fallout post Comic Con 2008. I've also added a few (not so) honorable mentions of films that just might suck balls (no Audrey Hollander). Here's the list. I would've gone with some long introspective posting but alas, my laptop died (again!) and I've been given tickets to go to Fenway today since the Red Sox have NEVER lost when I've attended a game and they need this game tonight. Here goes:

Eagle Eye (2008)

Max Payne (2008)

Quantum Of Solace (2008)

Punisher: War Zone (2008)

The Day The Earth Stood Still (2008)

Watchmen (2009)

X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)

Terminator: Salvation (2009)

The Spirit (2009)

Star Trek (2009)

5 Upcoming Flicks Likely To Suck More Than Sasha Grey:

G.I. Joe: Rise Of Cobra (2009)

Dragon Ball Z (2009)

Death Race (2009)

Red Sonja (2009)

Conan (2009)

I am praying that my extreme nostalgia for early Dragonball Z will somehow translate into the ultimate viewing experience when I see Dragonball.

Max Payne looks like it may be the first solid video game movie. But, then again I thought Hitman looked like it was going to be dope, based on the previews....

@ berto:

Won't happen. That joint is aimed towards the kiddies and it's gonna be hella cheesy. Abandon all hope.

I think this version of Red Sonja is based more on the comic, Robert Rodriguez is backing it, so it can't be too bad.

The Spirit looks kinda wack, the trailer is corny as hell reminds me of some perfume add....

@ Flow Burnz:

First off, yes Robert Rodriguez is backing it. Films he makes that he wrote himself that aren't kids movies? Perfect record.

When he tries to adapt someone else's property and put his girlfriend (Rose McGowan) in the lead role? I dunno. You don't remember why they couldn't nail down the rights to "Barbarella" last year?

The Spirit's gonna be great. That was a damn teaser trailer and you can't infer ANYTHING about the movie from those besides they're gonna use the same special effects set from Sin City. The actual trailer hasn't even been made yet.

That's the thing, Robert Rodriguez hasn't produced any other films other than his own until recent, so you can only assume his judgement is good, based on what he has created. And though you may not like his "kiddie" films, the critics have praised them, and kids love them...it serves it's purupose.

Sin City wasn't "his property" either, but he turned that into one of the greatest comic book adapted movies ever. I don't see what the problem is, the first Red Sonja isn't exactly a "classic" film, it's trash...all I'm saying is this new version can't possibly be any worse than that, especially if he's putting his name on it...

First off the TRAILER I saw wasn't a "teaser" (you're a few weeks late if you havn't seen the trailer with all the characters in it)...And um, who are you to say I can't "infer" about that WACK trailer? (you just said the movie will be great, genius.)...And, that's kinda the point of showing a trailer isnt it? to get a reaction. Now, how about you go watch the trailer and update your sh!t, before you comment on me? cuzzo!

@ flow burnz: I wasn't AT Comic Con and I didn't see the official "The Spirit" trailer and I don't read minds. Sorry.

Sure, Rodriguez did do a great job with Sin City but Frank Miller and Quentin Tarantino were right there with him and he wasn't left to his own devices.

I haven't seen the official trailer of "The Spirit" yet so we'll have to wait to see if I agree with you or not, Flow Burnz.

Thanks for reading my blog, I appreciate it.
