Watchmen Can't Get Here Fast Enough AKA Dartflix Edition #51

So here's what happened so far this month. The new Sci Fi flick "Push" came out and completely underwhelmed audiences and critics alike. It was buried by the romantic comedy "He's Just No That Into You" and the animated film "Coraline" at the box office the weekend of the 6th. "Push" only managed a measly $10 million dollar take over the weekend to open at 6th place. Considering that the film's budget was a shade under $40 million and it's made half of that at the writing of this blog, expect it to hit DVD/Blu-Ray by mid April or early May.

The following week the Cliwe Owen/Naomi Watts suspense/thriller "The International" hit the theaters and failed worse than Marshall Mathers trying to get a date with Lauryn Hill. After a full weekend, it had an anemic showing and only grossed a total of $9.3 million dollars after 72 full hours. I guess that given this terrible economy no one wanted to see a film about a major bank using it's funds to sponsor hits and assassinations all over the world. That just doesn't sound like a fun night at the movies to most Americans, I guess.

The big only winner at the box office was the updated version of the Jason Voorhies saga "Friday The 13th". Now that Jason runs after people and seems to be ever more deadly than his old school counterpart, people flocked to theaters and it raked in a surprisingly high $40.5 million in it's opening weekend. It's currently topped out at $53 million dollars worldwide due to a $10 million dollar take overseas. This guarantees that a sequel will be forthcoming. With "Fired Up", "Madea Goes To Jail" and "Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun Li" yet to open this month "Watchmen" cannot get here fast enough.

@ Keezy:

Actually, no. You can say whatever you want about ME. I getting paid, have had more women that you've had hot meals and generally don't give a fuck. When you talk about OTHER people and don't stay on topic? I reserve the right to remove your comments.

Focus on your blog that no one reads, Keezy. You look like a dickrider spending your time on my blog and Eric's C box.

I go on hiatus from this blog in March to pursue some career opportunities afforded me by busting my ass for the past 3 years. Is doing this getting you to your ultimate goal? If it isn't then why cling from my nutsac so viciously?

Oh Dart the fact that you have took this obvious piece of tomfoolery to hart and responded with your typical pretentiousness means you lose out to Keezy.
Responding with a 'I'm cleverer than you' reeks as someone might say.
And yes, yes we get it you have worked hard on this blog and feel you owed something by the universe...
