I was trying to come up with a post today based on last week but I honestly can't bring myself to do it. I heard a bunch of mixtapes this past week. Only one of them I just wasn't feeling because I may possibly hate the artists guts so I may discount my views because I'm biased against him (Lil' Wayne), the new Busta Rhymes mixtape was a blur of bullyfoot street corner rap with a high "nigga" and "bitch" count (Am I wrong or is there some new Flipmode Squad that I'm not familiar with?).
Donny Goines EP was cool but I was so numb that I wasn't in the proper state of mind to give it the review he rightly deserves. Some Wale mixtape came out that isn't the highly anticipated "Mixtape About Nothing" so I didn't bite.
That being said, this week I'm just gonna post pictures (no...not more pictures!) of all of the mixtapes that dropped this past week and the albums I'm waiting on reviewing. Yes, I did at least manage to cull together a Fat Tape! I'm not completely out of it. Hopefully, next week will go better than this one did.

can i respectfully suggest/request a post dealing with grime and grime mixtapes? kind of like the "10 to watch" post - I keep up with the usual suspects like logan sama's show and blackdown's monthly pitchfork columns but I'm sure I'm missing a lot of stuff because I just don't have the patience to wade through tons of mixtapes. I'd be especially interested to hear your thoughts on Soulfood 3. when you feel like writing again, of course. anyway, have a good weekend.
dart,

@ padraig:
One is DEFINITELY coming soon, maybe it'll come later on in the month. All next week I doing Style Master Generals (The Emcees Revisted) with 32 more emcees getting writeups.
One.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little interested in that upcoming 9th Wonder/Buckshot collabo. The Killah Priest? Not so much.
