Here’s the last 8 and this list is a wrap! Thank you for coming out, Gob bless you and good night!:
Event Horizon (1997)If you haven't seen this yet then I honestly have no words for you.
The City Of Violence (2006)Another Korean action film that I put folks up on a while back. Thank you Dragon Dynasty for finally giving it American distribution. The scene where he had to fight the entire town's gang population was bananas.
Enemy At The Gates (2001)Stop sleeping on this ill ass war movie. Imagine being sent into battle without a rifle. You essentially have to wait until someone with a rifle dies and then pick theirs up. You also have to pull most of your supplies and munitions from deceased soldiers. Extra hardbody.
Summer Of Sam (1999)This Spike Lee film was criticized, picketed against, protested and ultimately boycotted and ignored. This overlooked film is one of his best efforts to date.
Hoodlum (1997)The Queen Of Policy and Bumpy Johnson versus Dutch Schultz, Lucky Luciano and the Mob for control of Harlem and the numbers racket. Laurence Fishburne and Tim Roth head a great cast. It's a shame this film was so slept on.
Brotherhood Of The Wolf (2001)It was a good two years before anyone in North America even realized that this film had even been released. Pretty goddamn weird.
Bringing Out The Dead (1999)One of Scorsese most underappreciated films. I remember being blown away by the look and feel of this film adaptation of the popular novel.
City Of Lost Souls (2000)One of the weirdest films you can ever hope to see. Brazilians, Mexicans, Russians and Chinese all running around Japan with guns trying to kill each other? Huh? What? Takashi Miike has few films that you can watch without wincing a lot. Between this and "Dead Or Alive", these are your best shots to watch one of his movies all the way through without contemplating ejecting it from the DVD player.
Some more of my favorite joints that just missed the cut:
Haven
Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance
Dead Or Alive
I Heart Huckabees
Kill Zone
Hard Luck
High Tension
Dark City
Thank You For Not Smoking
Rodger Dodger
King Arthur
The Nest
Hero
Dirty
The Proposition
Spartan
Thumbsucker
Threat
11:14
A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints
The Code
The Shape Of Things
A Man Apart
Ballistic Kiss
Devil In A Blue Dress
Five 2007 releases most likely to break into my next "favorite 100 cult films" list:
Sunshine
The Nines
The Signal
First Snow
Southland Tales

dug your list, nice work! i have a issues with a few pics, which i think are too mainstream to be considered "cult" but besides that you did a killer job. no ghost world or brazil? digging the inclusion of bringing out the dead. how scorsese fans don't go nuts for that masterpiece is beyond me. schrader+scorsese=perfection.
First off, "Ghost World" finished around #150. Even though it was well made, an adaptation of one of my favorite graphic novel and starred two of my favorite chicks (Thora Birch and Scarlett Johansson) it was behind a bunch of crime thrillers and other joints.
Brazil was made in the 80's and this list included films made in 1996 and beyond so no Leon The Professional, Strange Days, No Escape, Kids, etc.

Hell of a list, Dart - all solid choices plus a few that have slipped under my radar all these years.
You gotta help me out, though, dude - it seriously takes me five full minutes to load your page on both my Mac at home and my shitty-ass PC at work. Not that PP isn't worth waiting for, but damn... is it just me?
There are about 10-15 off your complete list that I haven't seen, but Dart you get mad props for all of this great work.
Truly awesome man
@ floodwatch:
No, it's not just you. I simply have too much shit on my blog and it takes forever to load unless you have a superhigh speed internet connection and a hellified computer...both of which I have, but I am in the minority when it comes to that I slowly have been finding out.
You can use Google reader or subscribe to an RSS feed of my blog so it just shows the pictures and text minus the page loading.

Dart, you know I <3 you man, but really, I don't believe that Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance was left off your cut, and Hoodlum was left on! (A good movie, no doubt, but not > than a member of the Park Chan Wook Revenge Trilogy.) And Thank You For Not Smoking off, Ebemy of the Gates on? I love me the Fiennes brothers but god damn, Aaron Eckhart was amazing in that. He is in most things, like the other Neil LaBute helmed movie In the Company of Men. (I noticed you had The Shape of Things on your list...don't tell me it's because Rachel Weisz)
*sigh*
Oh well.
@ Diora:
I love too many movies and I had to realize that I could only add one flick out of a trilogy (which meant "Oldboy" got the slot and "Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance and "Lady Vengeance" had to fall back).
"Thank You For Not Smoking" should've made the Top 100 but after 2007 is over at least 10 of these flicks will get bumped down. I do have a film fan crush on Rachel Weisz...and Samantha Morton...and Maria Bello and the list goes on, but I really liked the play and I thought it worked really well as a film (plus the ending is kind fucked up, which I really like as is evident by my love of Korean and Japanese cinema)
